Teenager ‘stabbed’ in north Edinburgh

A teenager has been rushed to hospital after allegedly being ‘stabbed’ on Ferry Road Drive earlier today.

Emergency services attended the incident just after 4pm.

It’s understood the teenager was stabbed in the back.

A 17-year-old male was arrested nearby on Ferry Road following the incident.

One local, who asked not to be named, said “It was awful.

“A woman was helping the young guy who had been stabbed in the back.”

Police search teams area currently at the scene searching the area.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said “An eighteen year old male has been taken to hospital following a serious assault.

“A 17-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident.”
