Police have charged a teenage boy following an assault and robbery in the Cameron Toll area on New Year’s Eve.
The incident took place at a pedestrian crossing on Lady Road around 8.30am on Sunday 31st December.
An 80-year-old woman was pushed to the ground from behind as she crossed the road and her shopping bag was stolen.
The woman was seen by the Scottish Ambulance Service as a precaution and was, thankfully, uninjured.
Detectives would like to thank the public for their support during this investigation.
The 15-year-old will be reported to the Children’s Reporter.
