Status Quo set to rock Ingliston this month

Rock legends Status Quo have announced the new revised date for their performance at the Royal Highland Centre will be 23rd July 2016.

The originally scheduled date on 8th August 2015 had to be cancelled due to illness. Special guests Big Country will be joining Status Quo.

The event will mark their last tour dates in the UK as they will be hanging up their guitars at the end of the year as the band members feel it’s time to stop.

Rick Parfitt told us, “We always thought we’d see a red light when it was time to stop. The show hurts now, physically. It’s hard to maintain that level of energy and without that it’s not really a Quo show.

“So we don’t feel we should continue. This is definitely the end of our lives on the road with the electric set, life won’t be the same for us – or many of the fans – but we can’t go on at this pace any more”.

Ticket holders for the original show should contact their point of purchase. Any refund requests have now been processed. Refund request cut-off date was 30th September 2015 – no further refunds will be processed after this date. All tickets (unless refunded) remain valid for this new date.

The band are primarily known for their touring and live shows, and the cancellation of shows is always a last resort.

Status Quo’s manager Simon Porter added, “We hate to have to cancel shows and hope that the fans realise that these situations are outside of our control.

“The band hopes that as many people as possible will be able to make the new date and look forward to performing in Edinburgh again”.

Tickets are still available and VIP packages also available to book your tickets or for more information please visit www.livepromotionsconcerts.co.uk

Advanced tickets cost £39.95 per person
