Please be advised that the B924 (Edinburgh Road) from Bankhead Road to Hawes car park is to be closed with immediate effect.

This is due to a large branch hanging over the road which has broken off but is being held up by the tree canopy.

Traffic northbound along the B924 will be diverted by local signage along Bankhead Road, Station Road, The Loan and along South Queensferry High Street.

Traffic from Hawes car park will be diverted along South Queensferry High Street.

Please be aware this is a busy location today as there is a cruise liner visit so there will be a number of coaches in the area.

City of Edinburgh Council staff are on site to coordinate the closure.
