Police appeal following Musselburgh dog attack

Police in East Lothian are appealing for information after a Staffordshire bull terrier type dog injured another dog and its owner in Musselburgh yesterday.

The incident happened around 2 pm in Goose Green Place and left a Shih Tzu dog with back and neck injuries and its owner with minor injuries.

The dog is described as tan in colour and may go by the name Mylo.

Officers are now keen to hear from anyone with information that can help them to trace the Staffordshire bull terrier type dog and the two males that were seen with it.

Constable Calum Hutchison of Musselburgh Police Station said: “I am looking to identify the males seen with the Staffordshire bull terrier and to establish who the owner is.

“Anyone who saw the incident on Saturday or who has information that can help me to trace the males or the owner is asked to please contact me.”
