A man has been charged with attempted murder after a 28-year-old male was seriously injured within the Mechanic Arms on Sunday.

Following extensive inquiries by officers from the Violence Reduction Unit at Gayfield CID, the 60-year-old was arrested in Essex yesterday and is now scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday 2nd December.
