Investigation launched after man found injured in Fettes Row

Police are guarding an area in Fettes Row after a man was found injured.

Emergency services raced to the scene just after 10am this morning after the man was discovered behind a block of flats.

One unnamed resident said “I heard lots of sirens and looked out and there were police officers everywhere.

“I had no idea what was happening and then I noticed they were out the back of the flats.

“I looked down and could see them treating a man who looked to be in a bad way.

“There was lots of ambulance people and the Medic 1 jeep was parked on the street.

“After a while the ambulances all left and the police are now standing guard.”

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said “We sent a paramedic response unit, an ambulance and Medic 1 attended.”

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said “Police are in attendance after an injured male was found behind buildings on Fettes Row.

“Emergency services are at the scene and the area is currently cordoned off.”
