Arrest made after man attacked in South Queensferry

Police are investigating after a 17-year-old man suffered serious facial injuries during an attack in South Queensferry.

The incident took place at around 7pm last night and its understood a group of people attacked the man.

Police have already arrested a male in connection with the incident and are asking if anyone has information to contact them.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said “Police in Edinburgh are currently investigating the serious assault of a 17-year-old man, which took place in the Dundas Park area of South Queensferry around 7pm on Sunday 20th January.

“The 17-year-old was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious facial injuries.

“A 17-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this, and enquiries into this incident remain ongoing.

“Anyone with information which may be relevant is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3095 of 20th January, or report this anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
