Two killed in Midlothian traffic collision

A 64-year-old male rider and his 59-year-old female passenger were killed following a collision with a BMW .

Emergency services were called but the two bikers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Live Edinburgh News also understands that a dog was also killed in this road traffic collision

The accident happened on the A6094 1/2 a mile south of Rosewell at around 10.40pm on Thursday night.

A 26-year-old man, who was driving the BMW, was treated for minor injuries.

The road was closed for period of time while enquiries were conducted, however the road has since reopened.

Inspector Richard Latto from the Road Policing Unit said:

“This collision sadly resulted in the death of two people and we are eager to gather as much information as possible.

“Anyone who was on the A6094 on Thursday night and saw either of the two vehicles involved is asked to contact us immediately.
