An investigation has been launched after a tanning salon was robbed for the second time this week. 

Officers were alerted to the second incident at Indigo Sun in Davidsons Mains just after 5pm today. 

The same shop was robbed last Wednesday when a thief used a knife to threaten staff before making off with a three-figure sum of cash. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a robbery at premises on Main Street in Davidson Mains, Edinburgh around 5.05pm on Sunday, 5 September.

“Nobody was injured. Enquiries are ongoing and at an early stage.”
