The Star Wars crew, including Chewbacca and Obi-Wan Kenobi dropped into The Centre, Livingston last week and raised £2k for children’s charity CHAS.

This brings their total to £4,000 over the last six weeks, thanks to very generous shoppers in the mall.

Visitors to The Centre were blown away with the surprise visit and lined up in their thousands to get selfies and signatures, digging deep with donations as a ‘thank you’.

Following their hugely successful visit just before Christmas, the management team at The Centre has been inundated with requests to get the Star Wars characters back in.

Jennifer Bruce, Marketing Manager at The Centre Livingston, said: “We’ve never seen anything quite like it before when we get the Star Wars team in – the mall is electric with a great atmosphere as people of all ages get the chance to meet their favourite Star Wars character and raise money for such a wonderful charity, CHAS, at the same time.

“It definitely won’t be the last time they drop by. Dates and timings will be posted on our Shop the Centre Facebook page to keep customers updated.”
