Police are investigating following a collision involving a marked police car last night.
The police vehicle was responding to an emergency call around 7.30pm when the smash happened on London Road.
The road was closed for some time and diversions were in place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police in Edinburgh are investigating after a police vehicle was in collision with a silver Mercedes car while responding to an emergency call.
“The incident happened around 7.30pm on Sunday 28 January on London Road.
“Thankfully no one was injured and the road was closed for around two hours with local diversions in place.
“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Road Policing Unit via 101, quoting incident number 3377 of 28 January.”
