Police are investigating after a teenager was assaulted and robbed at north Edinburgh skatepark

Police in north Edinburgh are investigating after a student was assaulted and robbed by a group of youths in Drylaw.

The attack took place at the Drylaw skatepark on Sunday night.

A 19-year-old man was assaulted and robbed of his rucksack by a male youth on a bike who was part of a larger group.

Police are now hunting for the youth who is described as white, between 16 and 18 years old, between 5 foot 4 and 5 foot 7 inches tall, of slim, muscular build with short brown hair and was wearing a blue t-shirt, black jeans and white Nike trainers.

The man suffered minor injuries.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the robbery or saw the group before or afterwards.

The group were seen at Craigleith Retail Park at KFC at around 9pm and walked to the skatepark.
