Police appeal for help finding missing teenager

Police in Edinburgh are appealing for information to help trace a teenager missing from the Howdenhall area of the city.

Aiden Ross (14) was reported missing around 9pm on Friday 11th May and he has not been in contact with friends or family since then.

Aiden has a serious medical condition and officers are now concerned for his welfare.

Aiden is described as being around 5ft tall, of stocky build with short dark brown hair. When last seen,  he was wearing a dark coloured puffa jacket, dark tracksuit bottoms and grey Adidas trainers.

He wears a silver earing in his right ear. He was also carrying a rucksack.

Aiden is known to frequent the Gracemount, City Centre and Leith areas of the city.

Inspector Willie Falconer of Howden Hall police station said: “Aiden has a serious health condition and we are concerned that he may become ill.

“Anyone who recognises him and may have seen him tonight is asked to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 4530 of 11th May.

“Similarly if Aiden sees this himself, we’d ask him to get in contact with us.”
