Police appeal following city centre collision

Police in Edinburgh are investigating following a collision in the city centre.

At around 4.45pm yesterday police were called after a cyclist was knocked off their bike at Bristo Place by a white coloured van.

Last night footage of a crash between a white van and a cyclist was posted on-line.

Inspector Keith Mailer at Howdenhall Police Station said: ” Inquiries to identify those involved and the circumstances surrounding this incident are underway.

“I would ask that anyone who can assist with any further details, including the cyclist and the van driver, call us on the 101 number, quoting reference number 2531 30 October 2019.”
