A paramedic has been arrested for failing a roadside drugs test after she knocked down a kid, it has been reported.
The 40-year-old woman was allegedly driving to an emergency call on Tuesday when she hit the 14-year-old boy on Queensferry Road.
The teenager was taken to hospital as a precaution and was later released.
Police officers then tested the woman and its claimed she provided a positive result for having cannabis in her system.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Staff falling short of our high standards are managed in line with workforce policies.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 40-year-old woman was arrested in connection with a crash involving an ambulance and a male pedestrian, 14, at Queensferry Road, Edinburgh, on Tuesday.
“Our enquiries are continuing.”
