A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following an incident in Davison’s Mains.

Emergency services were called to the incident just after midnight and discovered the 20-year-old man.

A section of the road was closed for several hours while detectives carried out an investigation.

This morning a Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.05am on Friday, April 21, officers were called to a report of a serious assault on Main Street, Davidson’s Mains, Edinburgh.

“A 20-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing.”
