A man was rushed to hospital earlier today after being stabbed in the head during a disturbance at a flat in the Capital.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Duff Street just after 2am.
On arrival one male was found with stab wounds to his head and arms.
He was rushed to the Royal Infirmary for treatment and released this afternoon.
Detective Constable Iona Cory who is based at Corstorphine CID said: “We were called to an address in Duff Street, Edinburgh, at around 2:15am on Sunday in response to a report of a serious assault.
“A 25-year-old male sustained injuries to his head and arms as a result of this incident and was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh from where he has since been discharged.
“We are currently pursuing a positive line of inquiry in relation to this matter.”
