A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal crash which left a schoolboy dead.

The incident happened on Whitehouse Road around 8.20am on Friday, 1 March, 2024 and involved a schoolboy and a bin lorry.

Emergency services attended but the Thomas Wong was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man has been charged with a road traffic offence and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

He is expected to appear in court at a later date.
