A man has been charged after an elderly woman was robbed within her home in Edinburgh.

Detectives working as part of Operation Arable launched an inquiry after an 88-year-old woman had her purse stolen by a male, who pushed his way into her property in Niddrie Mill Avenue on Sunday 13th January.

As a result of this investigation, a 38-year-old man was arrested on Monday 14th January and held in custody to appear in court the following day.
