Police are investigating the death of a nine-day-old baby after he was rushed to hospital on Wednesday.

The tot died soon after an ambulance sped him from his home on Ferry Road to the Sick Kids Hospital.

Neighbours told how they heard screaming from the ground floor property around 9.50am where the tot lived.
