Police have launched an investigation after members of the public raised concern about the concerns of a bin in Morningside earlier today.

Officers attended and put a cordon up around the bin and into the road.

Forensic officers and Detectives attended and the bin was removed to have the contents examined.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said “We received a report about concern for contents of a bin.

“An investigation has been launched and the bin has been removed for further examination.”
