Police have confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a man found unconscious in a garden in Dalkeith.

The man, named locally as Jamie Paterson, was discovered in rear garden on Salter Road on Saturday morning.

The 25-year-old was rushed to hospital but died a short time later.

Today a spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We are not treating this death as suspicious at this time and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
