Cyclist in hospital after city centre accident

Emergency services this afternoon raced to city centre after receiving reports of a cyclist and bus crashing.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said

“Police in Edinburgh were called to Shandwick Place around 3.55pm after a cyclist fell against a bus.

The 25-year-old woman has been taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with a none life-threatening leg injury.

Enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances and anyone who may have witnessed this is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2488 of 13 July.”
