Police in West Lothian are appealing for witnesses after three cars were stolen during a housebreaking in Linlithgow.
The incident happened around 3.20 a.m. on Sunday 27th November at an address in Avontoun Park.
After the property was entered the keys to a green Land Rover Defender with registration number SK54 WUA; a silver Hyundai i20 with registration number EO62 UFN and a silver Mazda MX5 with registration SD08 UJJ, were all taken from inside.
The vehicles were subsequently stolen from outside the house before the Mazda was later recovered in West Pilton Drive, Edinburgh.
Inquiries are continuing to trace the other two vehicles and identify those responsible for this housebreaking and theft.
Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
The suspects are described only as being a group of either two or three males wearing dark clothing obscuring their faces. One was wearing a light grey hooded top and had blond hair.
Detective Inspector Paul Batten said: “The homeowners are deeply upset following the break-in to their home and theft of their cars and we are continuing with our inquiries to trace the two outstanding vehicles.
“It is likely that those responsible will look to utilise these vehicles for committing further crimes and I would ask that anyone that sees the Land Rover or Hyundai contacts us immediately.
“In addition, anyone who saw any suspicious activity around Avontoun Park during the early hours of Sunday morning, or who has information that can help us trace the suspects, should also get in touch.”
Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or alternatively, the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
