A woman has been taken to hospital following a disturbance at a house in Stenhouse earlier today.

Police remain at the scene and part of the road is cordoned off whilst officers continue to try to speak with the man inside.

One local said “I had no idea what was going on.

“The police officers would only tell me that there was nothing to worry about.

“I hope everything is ok.”

It’s understood the woman’s injuries are not life threatening.

A Police spokesperson said “Police are currently in attendance at an address in Stenhouse Terrace, Edinburgh after a woman suffered an injury during a disturbance this lunchtime.

“The woman has left the property for treatment and officers remain at the property making efforts to speak to a man within.

“An area of the road is cordoned off whilst these inquiries continue.”
