A teenager has been reported to the Children’s Reporter following a brutal assault which was published on Facebook last week.

The 15-year-old-girl is filmed forcing the woman to the ground before kicking her as she lay on the ground in Westburn Grove, Wester Hailes.

The footage, which emerged today, shows the thug kick the woman more than ten times to the face and body as folk stood by filming – the clip lasts for over a minute.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said “Police in Edinburgh have charged a 15-year-old female following an assault in the Wester Hailes area of the city.

“The incident took place around 3.30pm on 1 September in Westburn Grove.

“An 18-year-old female received minor injuries and did not require medical treatment.

“A report has been submitted to the Children’s Reporter.”
