This is the terrifying moment that bystanders lifted a car off a pedestrian who was trapped following a collision in Leith at the weekend.
Around 15 people in the street ran to the aid of the trapped pedestrian following the incident at the weekend on Great Junction Street.
Police Scotland spokesperson said “Police in Edinburgh have charged a man with road traffic offences following a collision in Leith.
“The incident occurred around 11pm on Saturday 24th June in Great Junction Street.
“A 23-year-male was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where his condition is described as stable.
“The 27-year-old man is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.”
