A driver has had a lucky escape after high winds blew a tree over onto his taxi earlier today.
The large tree crashed to the ground on Cramond Road South outside Costa Coffee at 3.30pm.
The road has been closed in both directions and will be for some time.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said “We were called around 3.30pm on Friday, 22 May, to a report of a tree falling on a taxi in Cramond Road South, Edinburgh.
“No one was injured but the road is currently blocked.”
