Two men and a woman have been convicted of various offences including drugs supply and possession of a sawn-off shotgun in the Edinburgh area.

Darren Docherty (aged 33), Amanda Docherty (aged 35) and Dale Kerr (aged 30) were yesterday convicted on Wednesday 23rd November at Glasgow High Court after a week-long trial.

Darren Docherty was also convicted of possession of a sawn-off shotgun.

All three were targeted as part of Operation Erpand, one of Edinburgh CID Proactive Unit’s principal operations tackling serious and organised crime and drugs activity in Edinburgh.

On Thursday 26th November 2015, a search warrant was effected at an address in Broomfield Crescent. This led to the recovery of a sawn-off shotgun, £100,000 worth of heroin, £32,000 of zopiclone (a drug with similar effects to diazepam) and £30,000 of cocaine as well as £10,000 cash.

The three will be sentenced on 20th December 2016.
