Seven people had to be rescued from Cramond Island today after being cut off by the tide.
The volunteer lifeboat crew from Kinghorn Station in Fife were scrambled to rescue the group just after 3.30pm.
They were taken to Granton Harbour and handed over to the local Coastguard team.
An hour later the lifeboat was back out again after reports of two paddleboarders in difficulty near Silverknowes, being driven East by the wind.
As the lifeboat crew arrived on scene, the first casualty had made it safely ashore with the second making headway back and not in need of assistance.
Earlier in the day the same Lifeboat crew were called to help paddleboarders near Portobello.
