Raeburn Place has been closed following a collision involving a marked police car.

The collision happened around 1pm and the road is currently closed whilst emergency services deal with the incident.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said “Police in Edinburgh were called to a road traffic collision in the North of the City.

“The incident occurred around 1pm on Monday 8th May at Raeburn Place between a marked police vehicle and a Mercedes.

“No-one is thought to be seriously injured but a female officer from the marked police vehicle has been taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

“Raeburn Place is currently closed and local diversions are in place.”
