Police in Edinburgh are urging motorists to avoid the Cameron Toll area currently as a result of a road collision.

At around 2.30 p.m. on Friday 9th June a lorry struck the rail bridge on Peffermill Road at Old Dalkeith Road.

Road Policing Officers are currently in attendance to deal with the incident and members of the public planning to travel through the area are advised to seek alternative routes for the time being.

No one has been injured and an update will be provided once the road has been cleared.
