Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was discovered in the Water of Leith.
Emergency services were alerted just after 12pm today after the find under a bridge near Saughtonhall Avenue.
The area has been closed off with cordons in place.
A police spokesman said “We received a report of a man’s body found in the Water of Leith, near Saughtonhall Avenue, Edinburgh, at around 12.05pm on Thursday, 8 October.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the man and the full circumstances of his death.”
