Police in Edinburgh are appealing for information to help trace a man reported missing from Prospect Bank Road earlier today, Saturday 17th December.
Robert Haldane is 84-years old and suffers from dementia.
He was last seen in Prospect Bank Road about 1pm today.
Robert rarely leaves the house alone and concerns are growing for his welfare.
He is described as being around 5 ft 10 inches tall, with white hair on the sides and balding on top. He has a slim build and speaks with a local accent.
When last seen Robert was wearing a blue 3/4 length jacket, a dark blue flat cap (both the same as in the photo), grey trousers and tan walking shoes.
Robert has been known to frequent the Leith Walk/Easter Road area and also may have visited the Christmas market in Princes Street.
Sergeant Patricia Hamilton of Leith Police Station said: “Robert has been missing since earlier today and he is particularly vulnerable on account of his dementia.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen him or a man fitting his description.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact officers on 101.”
