Police in Edinburgh are appealing for information in order to trace a 79-year-old man who is missing from the Clovenstone area of the city.
Francis Robertson was last seen around 3.45pm on Tuesday, December 26, leaving an address in Clovenstone Gardens.
He has not been seen since and officers are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
Francis is described as a white man with a slim build. He is around 5ft 2″ in height with short grey hair which is balding on top. He also has a mark on the centre of his forehead.
He was last seen wearing a black winter jacket with a grey jumper underneath, black cords and black trainers.
Francis has a bus pass and may travel throughout Edinburgh on public transport.
Inspector Norman Towler of Howdenhall Police Station said: “Francis had now been missing for some time and we are growing very concerned for his welfare.
“The weather conditions are becoming increasingly poor and we are eager to trace Francis as soon as possible.
“I would ask anyone who has seen Francis, or recognises his description, to contact us immediately.
“Likewise I would also ask Francis, if he does see this appeal, to get in touch with police and let us know he’s okay.”
Those with information regarding Francis’ whereabouts are asked to contact officers at Howdenhall Police Station on 101, quoting incident number 2998 of December 26.
