Police appeal for driver following city bypass accident

Police Scotland are appealing for information following a road traffic collision on Lasswade Road, at the slip road for the Edinburgh City Bypass.

The incident happened at about 7.30am on Wednesday, August 31, when a small black hatchback turned right on to the slip road, causing a motorcyclist travelling northbound to take evasive action.

This caused the motorcyclist to fall on to the roadway, resulting in a serious arm injury.

The driver of the hatchback did not stop and continued on westbound on to the Bypass.

We are asking the driver of the hatchback, or anyone else with information, to come forward in order to help us with our enquiries. They can contact us on 101.
