Police have confirmed they have concluded their investing into claims a man was raped on a cycle path in north Edinburgh and conclude that no criminality has been established.
Officers sealed off the area on the cycle path near Ainslie Park yesterday morning.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said “Following the report of a serious sexual assault in the Piton area of Edinburgh in the early hours on Monday 28 October, detectives have carried out a thorough investigation and inquiries have concluded, with no criminality established.
“No further police action is required.
“Officers would like to thank the public for their cooperation to allow investigations to take place.”
