A motorcyclist has been involved in a collision with a car on Seafield Road.

The collision, involving a VW Polo and a motorcycle, happened around 2pm neae the B&M Store.

The 45-year-old female motorcyclist has been taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with a potential serious leg injury.

Seafield Road was closed for an hour to allow emergency services to attend.

Inquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances.
