Police have launched an investigation after a man was seriously assaulted in North Edinburgh at the weekend.
Emergency services raced to the property in Northview Court in the early hours of Sunday morning and found a man injured.
The man was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police are investigating after a man was seriously assaulted at an address in the north of the city on Sunday, August 28th.
“The attack happened at around 1am within a property on West Pilton Crescent.
“The victim, a man in his mid-30’s, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment and is now recovering at home.
“An investigation into this incident is ongoing and officers are pursuing a positive line of enquiry.”
