A man has been injured after falling around thirty feet on the Castle Rock in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Specialist crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service had to attend to assist the Scottish Ambulance Service remove the injured male.
The alarm was raised just after 5.30am yesterday morning and the man was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said “Our Edinburgh control received a 999 call at 05.43hrs on Saturday after a male in his 20s fell approximately 30ft”
“Our ambulance arrived on scene within seven minutes, our Special Operation Response Team also attended and with the assistance of Scottish Fire Rescue the male was extracted and conveyed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with a suspected spinal injury”
