Police are investigating after a 40-year-old man found injured in Midlothian died in hospital.
Emergency services were alerted to reports of a disturbance just after 4pm yesterday in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian.
It’s understood the victim had been stabbed.
Last night a large cordon was in place and forensic officers were searching the scene.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police have detained a man in connection with the death of a man in Bonnyrigg.
“Officers attended a house in Auld Coal Grove, Bonnyrigg to reports of a disturbance.
“A 40-year-old man had sustained serious injuries and was taken to Edinburgh’s Royal Infirmary where he sadly died.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
