​The  incident happened around 10.40 p.m. on Sunday night in Pennywell Gardens.

A Hyndai Coupe was travelling south along Pennywell Medway when it lost control and left the road before colliding with the wall of the church.

No one was injured

The church hall is expected to remain closed until the walls can be fully assessed

Police today said 

A 32-year-old man was charged with Careless Driving.
