Police Scotland have confirmed that a man has been arrested following an alleged serious assault in Dalkeith.

The 32-year-old’s arrest follows the alleged attack which took place yesterday.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Enquiries are ongoing and there will continue to be an increased police presence in the area.”
