Over 100 hundred kids are taking part in today’s annual Edinburgh Taxi Trade Children’s outing to East Lothian.
This year marks the event’s 73rd trip that is organised and funded by Edinburgh’s taxi drivers.
The outing gives children with special needs, life-limiting conditions and terminal illnesses a day to remember.
The convoy of decorated taxis will leave Edinburgh Zoo under a Police escort at 10am and will take a drive down the coast with a stop in Musselburgh for Ice Cream.
Before they set off from the Zoo awards were dished out for best float taxi, best balloon taxi, best fancy dressed driver and best fancy dressed child.
After spending a day at the Archerfield Walled Garden, they will return around 4pm.
