Police have launched an investigation after a woman was raped in Dalmeny Park in Leith last night.
The park has been sealed off with officers standing guard and a tent was being used to protect an area in the park.
Forensic officers have spent this morning at the scene carrying gathering evidence.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report that a woman had been seriously sexually assaulted in Dalmeny Park, Edinburgh.
“It happened around 10.45pm on Friday, 17 January, 2020.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
