A man and woman have been rushed to hospital following an incident in Duke Street earlier today. 

Emergency services attended at around 5pm after a man fell from a building. 

The area is currently closed and traffic is being diverted. 

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Police and ambulance were called to Duke Street, Edinburgh, just before 5pm this evening to reports of an adult male having fallen from a building.

“A male and an adult female were injured during the incident and taken to hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

“Anyone with relevant information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3107 of June 9.”
