Civil Service Strollers to give local kids FREE season tickets

Civil Service Strollers have launched a new initiative that will see the Muirhouse based club giving a FREE season ticket to every primary school kid in north Edinburgh.

As well as kids getting in free any adults that attend matches with them will get in for half price – just £3.00.

The club finished in the fifth spot in the Lowland League last season and are looking to better that this season.

Alice Regan (6), Issace Regan, (9), Catriona Regan, Suzanne Brown (42), Kaylan Brown (8) and Tahlia Tremain (13) help Edinburgh football club, Civil Service Strollers, launch their FREE season ticket offer.

Commercial Manager, Ross Ballantine, said “At the Strollers we are looking at various ways to engage more with the local community.

“Our club feel this new initiative will allow families to come and watch us play at our home games without costing a fortune.

“Not every family in our area has disposable income and we are keen to ensure that local people can come to Christie Gillies Park and enjoy a family day out at the football and have fun.”

The club, who celebrated their 110th-anniversary last year, has recently been granted planning permission to install floodlights to ensure they continue to meet SFA membership criteria.

As well as having a team in the Lowland League the Civil Service Strollers Youth setup also has over 130 kids taking part in football activities each week.

The club pride itself on keeping costs for playing to a minimum.

FREE FIRST USE: Issac Regan, (9) and Kaylan Brown (8) with Ross Ballantine (Commercial Manager).

Ross added “The Strollers youth setup is going from strength to strength at the moment and more kids are joining each month.

“Our youth coaches work tirelessly to ensure kids can learn to play football in a safe and fun environment.

“To reflect the nature of our community we keep the cost to parents and families as low as we can and monthly prices start at just £10.00.”

Season tickets will be available to school kids before the 2019/20 campaign kicks off.
