Families welcomed some new arrivals at the Simpsons Maternity Hospital earlier today.

Baby, Oliver Crispim was the first to be born on Christmas Day in Edinburgh.

He arrived at 1.35am.

His dad, Zbigniew Kazimerczuk and mum, Ana Crispim, are delighted and looking forward to getting home to enjoy the rest of their Christmas.

Zbigniew said “He is our first baby and we are both delighted – he’s a miracle.

“We are looking forward to getting home as a family and settling in with a new baby in the house – it’s going to be a great time for us.

“We are so happy just now.”
