A car had to be rescued after rolling over a harbour wall at Musselburgh earlier tonight.
The silver Insignia was perched between the wall and the sand below.
One onlooker said “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
“The car owner is just lucky the tide was out and the car didn’t end up in the water as it would have sank.
“It didn’t take the crane operator long to get it safe and pull it back up.
“There is some damage to the front of the car but it could have been a lot worse.”
It remains unclear exactly how the vehicle ended up going over the wall.
